The Eco-Centre is an exciting project full of promise for the Miramichi. Open
year-round the landmark attraction’s interactive displays will showcase Miramichi’s history and culture.
Education and Environmental Awareness are important
components in the Centre, providing an opportunity for current and future generations of Miramichiers to learn about their
history and heritage.
Through the displays, tours and exhibits, visitors will learn about the flora and fauna, heritage and historic events of the Miramichi.
The Eco Centre promotes ecological sustainability and empowers
citizens to become stewards of the shared planet. Workshops, information seminars and special activities are offered here
along with permanent and seasonal exhibits. Next door to the Eco-Centre is French Fort Cove Nature Park, a 500 acre parkland.
The park is home to 200 hectares of Acadian Forest on the north shore of the Miramichi River, at the midpoint of the City
of Miramichi.
